How we helped LaJaunie’s Pest Control have their biggest month ever with 329 new recurring customer sales from SEO and PPC in 5 months

LaJaunie’s Pest Control came to us with very specific growth targets for each month of the year. Their focus was recurring customer sales. But they didn’t want to do it all on the back of paid ads. They needed more leads than ever before at a lower CAC (customer acquisition cost).

Challenge

Reducing reliance on paid ads and lowering customer acquisition cost

The client approached us wanting to lower their reliance on paid ads. Over the years, they’ve watched the CPC (cost per click) of Google Ads and the CPL (cost per lead) of Local Service Ads skyrocket.

This resulted in a higher CAC (customer acquisition cost) and lower profit margin.

They knew that organic search was bringing in high quality leads at a much lower cost per lead, but they weren’t getting enough leads from organic search to sustain the aggressive growth goals they had.

They had used SEO agencies in the past, but everyone used the same playbook, which wasn’t getting them the results they wanted.

The client’s markets, mostly around Southern Florida, are some of the most competitive in the United States, so doing the same thing as everyone else wasn’t going to earn the outsized results the client wanted.

“In my 16 years of business I have engaged with multiple marketing firms to accomplish growing from 0 dollars in revenue to an 8 figure business. Solution

22 blog posts and 10 backlinks per month while scaling PPC efforts

The client had good rankings in a number of cities where they wanted leads. They just weren’t ranking high enough and they weren’t ranking for enough keywords to get them the lead volume they wanted.

They also had a floundering PPC account with inaccurate conversion tracking in place leaving them unable to scale.

To get them more and better rankings in organic search results and more leads we needed to:

  1. Build backlinks to increase the authority of their website
  2. Improve the content on their service area pages
  3. Execute an aggressive content calendar with new high quality blog articles

To get them more and better rankings in Google Maps and more leads we needed to:

  1. Improve the content on their service area pages
  2. Build backlinks

Our plan to accomplish this included:

  1. Publishing a new blog article every weekday Monday through Friday
  2. Optimizing the blogs so that they would not only bring in traffic, but also leads
  3. Building 10-15 backlinks per month using Content Promotion, Publisher Relationships, Writer Relationships, and Digital PR techniques
  4. Improving all of their service area pages and making new ones targeting specific pests in each city (e.g. “ant control miami”)

To get their PPC account on track we needed to:

  1. Give Google conversion data that would optimize the algorithm
  2. Win high quality leads

Our plan to accomplish this included:

  1. Set up accurate conversion tracking
  2. Create a strong offer
  3. Send PPC traffic to our custom landing pages instead of the client’s website
